Join us for a return trip to

Havana, Cuba!

Andres Duany and select local architects and historians will lead us on custom tours through this fascinating city from October 27 - November 2, 2013.

Overview tour of Havana on bus by guide from airport to hotel.

Monday, October 28th

Breakfast at hotel

8:30 a.m.  Presentation in the hotel conference room by Architect Miguel Coyula

10:00 a.m.  Walking tour, the four plazas of Old Havana with Arquitect Ayleen Robaina

1:00 p.m.   Lunch at Dominica 

3:00 p.m.   Lecture and walk with Andres Duany

7:00 p.m.   Dinner El Patio (upstairs)

Tuesday, October 29th

Friday, November 1

Breakfast at the hotel

9:00 a.m.  Leave for Las Terrazas in Pinar del Rio, a UNESCO Biosphere reforestation project.

Lunch in a bohio “Casa del Campesino”

Return to Havana

7:00 p.m.  Farewell dinner at Café Oriente (we invite all our speakers to join us)

9:30 p.m.  Drinks at the Sevilla Hotel, Opera de la Calle (optional and not included in price)

Saturday, November 2

Breakfast at the hotel

10:00 a.m.  Check out of hotel

11:30 a.m.  Transfer to Jose Marti airport

3:40 p.m.   Departure for Miami

4:40 p.m.   Arrival in Miami (please be sure to give yourself sufficient time to make your connecting flight in Miami as you will have to go through customs upon return)

This tour, exclusively developed for the Seaside Institute, is estimated based on 25 participants, and pricing is based on that number.  Should this number not be met, we reserve the right to cancel the program or levy a small group surcharge to cover the difference.

Invitations will be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  The deposit is non-refundable unless the Seaside Institute cancels the trip.
