WILL CAPPELLETTI


Will Cappelletti is a renewable energy technology executive based in Washington, DC.  He currently serves as CEO of Durion, Inc, a 24/7 renewable electricity technology provider.

Previously, Will served as Vice President of Commercialization at Solugen, where he built the commercial team, bringing to market products from a first of its kind carbon negative chemical manufacturing platform at scale.

Prior to that, he had worked in a variety of financial management roles at Chevron, focusing on the expansion of the Tengiz field in Kazakhstan, upstream assets in Venezuela, and broader Latin America business development opportunities.

Will began his career in historic preservation as a development officer at the Colonial Williamsburg foundation before going to work in government as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) at the Pentagon. Later, he worked as a research assistant to Donald Rumsfeld, supporting the former Secretary’s best selling memoir, Known and Unknown. He was also selected for the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program and worked as a legislative aide in the German Bundestag.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
