The Seaside Institute presents Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain with Brian Bomeisler Nov. 1-5, 2018 in Seaside, Florida. This intensive class is designed for individuals with little or no prior drawing training who believe that learning to draw well is only possible for lucky people with “inborn talent.” Drawing any perceived object, person or place requires five component skills: the perception of edges, spaces, relationships, lights and shadows and the whole or gestalt. Global or whole skills - like reading, driving, and drawing - in time become automatic with the integration of the component skills

The initial learning process maybe a struggle, first in learning the new component skill and then with the smooth integration of all the components. Each component skill is learned and merged with the others until you are simply drawing—just as you found yourself simply driving or reading.

Tuition: $1,500 including Supplies
Tuition and Accommodation Packages: Starting at $2,100

Cottages are available in the Academic Village, for those who wish to have private accommodations.
